He played bass, sang, and left to pursue a solo

career (doh!) in the early 1980s. Duffy

collaborated with other musicians as Tin Tin,

scoring a surprise US hit with Kiss Me. In
--- RECORDSEPARATOR ---
1987, he formed folk-toned indie outfit the
--- RECORDSEPARATOR ---
Lilac Time. They initially split in 1991 after
--- RECORDSEPARATOR ---
three albums and then re-formed for a fourth
--- RECORDSEPARATOR ---
outing, Looking for a Day in the Night, in 1999.

Last year, the album Keep Going, another
--- RECORDSEPARATOR ---
country-folk record, was released by Stephen

Duffy & the Lilac Time.
